Use the Forgotten Password Wizard to create a password reset disk.

• Sign in to Windows using your local account.
• Connect a blank USB flash drive to the device.
• In Windows, search for and open Control Panel.
• From Control Panel, depending on your selected view:
  • Category view: Click User Accounts, and then click User Accounts again.
  • Large icons or Small icons views: Click User Accounts.
• The Make changes to your user account window opens.

• Click Create a password reset disk. The Forgotten Password Wizard opens.

If you use a local account in Window 11, you should create a password reset disk using a USB flash drive as soon as possible. Then, if you forget your password, you can reset it.
