  • Open the Settings app in your laptop.

Step 1: Boot your laptop to the Advanced Boot Menu screen

When your Toshiba laptop can’t boot normally, you can factory reset your laptop by entering the Advanced Boot Menu screen.

If you’re using Windows 10:

  • Ensure your laptop is off.
  • Press the power button to turn on your PC, then hold the power button down until the PC shuts down automatically (about 5 seconds) . Repeat this more than 2 times until you see the Preparing Automatic Repair (see below screenshot).
  • When the Startup Repair screen appears, click Advanced Options.
