Printer control panel:

  • Switch off your printer and make sure that all covers and lids are securely closed.
  • Plug the power cord from the outlet and get ready to reset.
  • Press and hold the “go” button located on the printer’s control panel. Set the power on without letting go of the “go” button. Wait until the printer is completely powered up.
  • Release “go” button and wait until the light indicators are stable and begins turning off.
  • Press the ‘go” button 6 times when the light indicators are active again.

This will reset your printer to its default settings.

Software reset:

  • Open your web browser and go to www.Brother.com and click on the “Support” menu. Select “Drivers and Downloads” and click on “Printers” from the dropdown menu.
  • Choose or type in your printer model and click “view” and see “your results”. Select your OS (operating system) and click “search”. Check for the result with “BRAdmin” and lick on the “Information and Download” link, then click “Download”.
  • Run the downloaded program and follow the instructions until completion. Launch BRAdmin and select Brother MFCL2700DW to reset.
  • Open “Control” menu and select “Network Configuration”. Type in your password if there is any, then click “OK”.
  • Navigate the “Control” menu and select “Factory Reset”.
