How to Reset Fios Remote In seconds

Here you can get information about How to Reset Fios Remote In seconds. I’ve been on Fios TV for a year now, and I think Verizon has nailed the internet+TV package. I had been getting good internet speeds, and the connection looked good, but my TV remote wasn’t doing so good. I couldn’t control the volume or change channels either. So I looked around online for fixes, noting down everything I saw.

I have fixed quite a few of these remotes before, and with that expertise and my notes, I finally fixed my Fios remote. So, I decided to compile this guide to fix your Fios remote in seconds and get back to that movie you were watching.

To reset your Fios remote, press and hold the OK and 2 buttons together, and release. Then press 9-0-0 in that sequence. The Red LED will blink three times and then turn off to indicate that settings have been restored.

Which FiOS Remote Do You Have?

Every remote has its own reset procedure. So before you go through the process, first identify the model of your remote.

From left to right in the image above, the remote models are:

  • Verizon P265 Remote
  • Philips RC 1445302
  • Motorola DRC800
  • Scientific-Atlanta AT8550 AllTouch

When do you Need to Reset a FiOS Remote?

Reset a FiOS Remote

Resetting the remote is usually the last thing you should do because a reset wipes every setting from your remote and unpairs it from the TV box. The best time to try a reset would be after you exhaust all other troubleshooting options, like changing the battery or turning the TV box on and off again.

A reset is also a great option if you cannot unpair the remote from the TV box with the usual unpairing procedure. But, again, this is a last-ditch option and must be reserved to the end.

Resetting FiOS Remotes

As I’ve said before, each remote model has different reset procedures, and although the steps are almost the same throughout, there are a few key changes here and there. That is why there need to be separate guides for each remote model.

Finding FiOS Remote Codes

Finding FiOS Remote Codes

The P265 and P263 Remote control and set-top box come programmed out of the box, but it still needs the codes specific to your TV to connect to it.

To pair your remote to the TV, turn the TV on and press on the remote:

  • Menu>Customer Support>Top Support Tools>Program Fios Remote

Follow the prompts on the TV, and it will automatically find the codes for your TV model and pair the remote to your TV.

Nevertheless, it is good to know the codes offhand of some major manufacturers:

  • Samsung: 331
  • Sony: 352
  • LG: 210

For remotes with four buttons, the codes are a bit different:

  • Samsung: 0057, 0087, 0205, 0729, 0793, 0839, 0841, 1087, 3004, 3005, 3008, 3022, 3025, 3026, 3058, 3094, 3127, 3128, 3136, 3137, 3148, 3156, 3172, 3205.
